The final conference of the FORAM project aiming the establishment of the World Forum for Raw Materials was held on 29th of October 2018 in the Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME) in Brussels.
The Mining and Geological Survey of Hungary (MBFSZ) was a partner in the framework of the community of the European Geological Surveys (EGS). MBFSZ was mainly involved in the identification of national stakeholders and in the communication activity.
Since October of 2016 following main activities were permoformed:
At the beigining a baseline assessment was done and a joint language was developed with an appropriate terminology and by mappint the relevant legislation as well. Several thematic workshops and webinars were organized for discussion of the needs in the raw material sector. The network was developed by about 30 criteria. The stakeholder platform was estabilshed and questionarry survey was done where priorities were in the focus.
Initiatives were collected mainly from associtation and from projects. 452 individual stakeholders were mapped, mainly from the industry who are dealing mainly with primary but partially secondary resources as well.

A repository was established dealing with important topics and issues of the raw material sector and recommendations were also collected. Results were integrated into the Raw Materials Information System (RMIS).
