On every 22 March, the World Water Day has been kept since 1993 aiming at drawing the attention to the importance of clean and available water to everyone as well as the vulnerability of freshwater resources.
Groundwater resources in Hungary have special importance both in water supply and utilization of thermal waters for medicinal and energetic purposes.
On the occasion of World Water Day, György Tóth, hydrogeologist, colleague of the Department of Hydrogeology, was interviewed on thermal and medicinal waters in radio programme ’Napközben’ of the Kossuth Radio.
